The "All The Way Brigade" Chapter is Recognized

With a goodly number of troopers present during the Louisville reunion, the President of the 1st Cavalry Division Association, Bob Johnson presented General Bob Shoemaker and Chaplain Bill Lord with the 1st Cavalry Division Association "All the Way Brigade" chapter charter. Jay Snyder, on the left, is looking on.
The Charter allows the “All The Way Brigade” to be recognized as a distinct Chapter – thereby receiving all the benefits thereof (notably “tax-free” status, which will save us a lot!).
Those who didn’t make it to Louisville were missed!
The Airborne Brigade of the 1st Cavalry Division (also known as the "All the Way Brigade") was formed at Fort Benning prior to the Division's departure to Vietnam. They were fully parachutist qualified and maintained their Airborne status until November 1966 when they reverted back to airmobile infantry.
The brigade consisted of the following battalions:
1/8th Cavalry
2/8th Cavalry
1/12th Cavalry
