The Battalion and your American Soldier has completed a complex and detailed relief in place of accomplished and deserving units belonging to the famed and storied 82nd Airborne Division.  We are off and running conducting discussions with key formal and informal leaders of the community, partnering and operating alongside both the Iraqi Police and Iraqi Army, and  helping to plan and build additional basic services for the citizens of southern Iraq.

Additionally, we're observing with anticipation the local political process as the region head's into the Provincial election's  planned for later this year.  

As you  have come to expect, your Soldier has already acquitted themselves with distinction and professionalism in our short time here - and I'm sure he/she will continue. God bless.
