4th of July Greetings to the 12th Cavalry Family

To all--Have a Happy and safe 4th. This day is for family gatherings and to thank our Founding Fathers and the first Army organized to defend our rights and establish our country. Their sacrifice and dedication gave us a legacy to defend and that is what we did with our service in the 12th US Cavalry Regiment.
A belated Memorial Day message to all. I was remiss in sending one due to my travels from Florida to Virginia. I am sure all remembered their fallen comrades who gave all and we who made it home gave some. Even after almost 50 years, we can remember them with sadness tempered with respect for their sacrifice and service. These fellow troopers-our brothers gave up their tomorrows so we could have ours, Those who served under our flag find that their final resting place is also under our flag. May they rest in peace.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the 1st Cav 67th Reunion at Oak Brook ,IL --Chicago area-- 9-13 July. As you all know the CAV moves the Reunion locations around the country to encourage first time attendees. SO SADDLE UP AND MOVE OUT
Again, I want to tell all of you how proud I am of what we together accomplished in our 12th Cavalry Association. I strongly believe we have set the standard for CAV asociations in growth and service to our fellow Vets and active duty troopers. Thanks to all. Be aware that we have had some great fellow troopers who as officers and staff of our 12th Cav Regt Asociaiton made this possible by their dedicated service to us all.
Keep well. Be "Always Prepared" to help your fellow trooper. Remember 1/12 is currently serving our country with pride in Korea.

God Bless

Jim Dingeman
